Recipe – AE Brewing Amber Ale
The second recipe I came up with from scratch after restarting my homebrewing this year. I am pleasantly surprised with how it turned out. It’s a very drinkable beer and the Mosaic hops added at flame out really add a nice fresh hop character to it that I am not used to.

This was the last of the initial 3 kits I ordered when I started back up with brewing this year. Took a while to brew it so the ingredients weren’t the freshest, but it still turned out quite nice! It’s got good flavor and color and is a hit so far with my wife.

I haven’t made a recipe in years and this is my first step back into the game after starting back up a few months back. I threw this together quickly for a competition in my homebrew club that is happening this month. I am excited to see what others have to say about it but […]

This Hazy IPA recipe comes from Northern Brewer. They classify it as an imperial IPA, clocking in at 7.1%, but I felt this was more of a hazy style, especially after seeing it in person. The hops shine on this without too much bitterness and the haze is unreal! This is the second beer I […]

I made sure to ramp up the temperature to about 70°F toward the end of primary to get rid of the buttery taste and mouthfeel. […]

Well, my father-in-law is one stubborn beer drinker. He thinks anything but Bud Light is pretty terrible. Well, being a homebrewer I felt like that was a great excuse to challenge myself and decided to come up with a Bud Light clone to see if I could make a beer he would willingly drink. To […]
